Hernando, FL - Hernando County Fire Rescue responded to a reported barn fire in the 6000 block of Golddust Road in Spring Hill.
Units arrived to find approximately a quarter acre of grass and brush burning around a barn. Firefighters acted quickly to contain and extinguish the fire, preventing damage to the main structure.
A nearby shed sustained minor damage. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental, sparked by a homeowner cutting grass when the mower ignited the surrounding vegetation.
