Homeowner Controls Fire Before Crews Complete Overhaul

Colquitt, GA - Colquitt County firefighters responded to a residential structure fire on Southern Trail, arriving to find smoke showing from the Alpha-Bravo corner of a single-story home.
The homeowner was able to knock down the bulk of the fire using a fire extinguisher prior to fire department arrival.
Crews deployed a hose line to conduct overhaul operations and extinguish remaining hot spots. Colquitt County EMS and the Sheriff’s Office assisted on scene.
