Joint Response Handled I-10 Crash Near Mile Marker 174

GRETNA, FL — May 7th —? In severe weather, Gretna Fire Rescue Department personnel responded to a single-vehicle collision on Interstate 10 westbound near mile marker 174. When responders arrived, they discovered a minivan in the westbound lanes that had lost control, collided with a guardrail, and come to rest facing east. Firefighters helped with traffic safety operations, secured the area, and evaluated the driver.
After being assessed by medical professionals, the driver was taken by Gadsden County Emergency Services to a nearby hospital for additional testing. There were no reports of any other injuries. Midway Fire and Rescue Service and the Gretna Fire Rescue Department worked together to tackle the situation. During severe weather, officials advised drivers to drive carefully on wet roads.
