Manatee County Fire Academy is now an approved training center for Sea School. Students travel from around the country to attend these classes. Sea School’s five (5) day Basic and Advanced Firefighting Combo course and get classroom and hands-on experience in fire theory, prevention, detection, and fire team organization. Practice fire rescue operations with simulated scenarios using blind egress and other Coast Guard required exercises pertaining to shipboard fire control. Sea School’s one (1) day Advanced Firefighting Revalidation course and satisfy the training requirement for Advanced Firefighting Revalidation of STCW Code Section A-VI/3.
