New York City Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani and FDNY Commissioner Lillian Bonsignore and Chief of Department John M. Esposito preside at the FDNY’s annual Medal Day at City Hall Plaza. – Centre Street and Park Row. Medals were presented to FDNY Firefighters, Paramedics, EMTs, Fire Marshals, Dispatchers, Fire Protection Inspectors, and Officers for their lifesaving work in 2025. Notable medal recipients included Lieutenant Patrick T. Donlon, who received the Chief of Department Peter J. Ganci Jr. Medal and NYS Honorary Fire Chiefs Association Medal for his successful removal of a victim during a fully involved apartment fire in the Bronx as well as Paramedic Naytasha M. Doyle and Probationary Firefighter Paul T. Saladis, III (for incident while Paramedic) who received the Christopher J. Prescott Medal for their heroic actions at a Brooklyn fire in 2025.
