Central Berks Assisted at Amazon Warehouse Fire

CENTERPORT, PA. — May 8th — The Central Berks Fire Company responded to a fire at the Amazon warehouse in Upper Bern Township alongside firefighters from the Berks and Schuylkill counties. In the morning, mutual help organizations were sent to the sizable distribution center. While assisting with ventilation, water supply, and scene management, crews searched for and put out the fire.


The warehouse's size and design necessitated resources from several departments, underscoring the importance of regional mutual aid collaborations. While personnel checked for fire extension and finished overhaul tasks, firefighters stayed on the scene. The cause of the fire is still being looked into, and no significant injuries were recorded during the incident.
