Hawley, MA - Hawley Volunteer Fire Department responded to a reported smoldering fire on South Road in Kenneth Dubuque State Forest.
Hawley Brush 1 arrived on scene and quickly contained and extinguished the fire, preventing further spread.
The cause was determined to be an unattended, non-permitted bonfire from earlier. Crews cleared the scene after ensuring the area was fully secured.
