Smoke Spotted by Neighbor Leads to Swift Avon Fire Response
Avon, CT - On 25th May 2026, Crews from the Avon Volunteer Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire after a neighbor noticed smoke coming from the rear of a residence and immediately called 911.
Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke conditions and quickly launched an aggressive interior fire attack while simultaneously conducting a primary search for possible occupants inside the home. Crews faced extremely limited visibility and challenging conditions due to ongoing renovations within the structure.
