Egg Harbor TWP, NJ - Firefighters from the Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company responded to a vehicle fire on Fork Road, arriving to find a car fully engulfed in flames with a ruptured gas tank.

Crews from Rescue-1517 and Engine-1512 quickly stretched lines and worked to bring the fire under control as it began spreading into the surrounding woods. The intense heat also caused damage to overhead utility lines, adding to the hazards on scene.

Firefighters successfully contained the blaze and prevented further extension. No injuries were reported.

Units operated under the command of Assistant Chief Craig Thompson, with support from the Egg Harbor Township Rescue Squad and Police Department.
