Midway Fire District (Gulf Breeze, Fl.)
On 05/24/2025 20:29 hours, the Midway Fire District was dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 4900 block of Hickory Shores Blvd. A neighbor reported visible flames and smoke coming from the residence.
Upon arrival, crews found active fire beneath a mobile home and its front decking. Firefighters initiated a quick attack and were able to bring the main body of fire under control. However, persistent hotspots remained underneath the trailer. Due to limited access and continued smoldering, firefighters deployed a rotating specialty nozzle, mounted to a ladder, to effectively wet down the sub-floor and extinguish remaining hot areas.
No injuries were reported. The home was unoccupied at the time of the fire.
Assigned Units: Engine 37, 35, Truck 36, Battalion 35, Battalion 40, Holley-Navarre Engine 41, Lifeguard E.M.S. and E.M.S. Supervisor 592.
