At 0956 Hours the Mifflin County 911 Center dispatched Box 11-10 to the Rear of 26 W. Market St. in Lewistown Borough for a reported car fire. County advised units that there was fire in the engine compartment. Units due on the box consisted of Engine 11-1, Engine 13-1, Rescue 14-1, and EMS Co. 12. Engine 11-1 arrived on scene first and took command. Engine 11-1 advised county of a light smoke condition in the vehicle. Further investigation showed that the fire had been knocked down by housing authority on scene. A couple pressurized water cans were pulled from Engine 11 and used to put out the remaining hot spots in the car. The box was placed available at 1017 hours.
