BAY SHORE, NY - A call of ducklings caught inside a storm drain prompted the Bay Shore Fire Department to respond to the rear of Lowe's on May 19th. Second Assistant Chief Kyle Voges arrived first and confirmed that about 11 ducklings were trapped in the drain. All of the ducklings were successfully retrieved from the storm drain by Rescue 3-1-8 crews and the Suffolk County Police Department Emergency Service Section. To help with the ducks' relocation, store staff got in touch with a nearby animal rescue group. Chief of Department John Ippolito, Jr. was in charge of the incident.
