Bernardston, MA - Bernardston Fire Department responded alongside Bernardston Police Department and Northfield EMS to a reported possible fire behind the bar at a local restaurant.

Upon arrival, crews investigated and found that a motor in a cooler unit had failed, producing a light haze of smoke and a burning odor.

Fire personnel quickly removed the affected equipment and ventilated the building to clear smoke conditions. After ensuring the structure was safe, the fire chief approved the return of staff and patrons.

All units operated efficiently and cleared the scene shortly after.
