Brush fire breaks out in El Cajon

A brush fire broke out in El Cajon off Lotus Lane. The fire threatened a few homes. With quick action from firefighters on the ground and air support the fire was under control with minutes. Cal-Fire Fixed wing aircraft along with a Helicopter from the Sheriffs Department and Helitanker 729 ( Operated by San Diego Gas and Electric ) made drops from the air. There were no reported injuries and no structures were damaged. The fire was held to just 2 acres.
