The Collings Lakes Fire Department's Stations 12-3 and 12-6 responded to a reported working vehicle fire at 113 West Colton Lane in the Collings Lakes neighborhood of Buena Vista Township at around 5:28 p.m. on May 12.

According to officials, New Jersey Forest Fire Service Unit C-39 was the first to arrive and used a booster line to start the initial fire attack. After that, Squad 12-31 crews used a 1½-inch attack line to finish the extinguishment process. In the event that more water supply was required, tenders 12-34 and 12-63 also responded.

Station 12-3 units cleared the area at around 6:15 p.m., demonstrating how rapidly the fire was put out. There were no reported injuries.
