LEVERETT, Mass. — April 24th — After a northbound Jeep veered off the road and collided with a tree at the base of an embankment, the Shutesbury Fire Department and Leverett Fire/EMS responded to a single-vehicle collision on Route 63. Before firefighters arrived, the Leverett Police Department promptly put out a small fire in the engine compartment, according to officials.
