Hasbrouck Heights, NJ - While operating at a motor vehicle accident off Route 17, the Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department was dispatched mutual aid to a fire alarm at Bergen County Technical Schools.

During the investigation, crews located smoke originating from a boiler, prompting the transmission of a working fire assignment and the stretching of a precautionary line.

The source was determined to be a burned-out motor. As operations continued, additional smoke was discovered in the cafeteria kitchen due to unattended cooking, requiring further attention from crews.

Firefighters managed both issues simultaneously, ventilating affected areas and ensuring the building was safe.

Mutual aid companies assisted on scene, highlighting strong inter-agency coordination during a complex, multi-issue response.
