Essex, MA - Essex firefighters responded to a reported vehicle fire at a local building supply center after dispatch from the regional communications center.

Upon arrival, crews found a vehicle fully engulfed in flames positioned in the center of the yard near lumber storage materials, creating an immediate risk of extension to nearby structures and stockpiles.

Engine 2, Ladder 1, and Ambulance 1, working alongside mutual aid from the Hamilton Fire Department, operated quickly to bring the fire under control.

Firefighters deployed suppression lines and coordinated efforts that successfully prevented the fire from spreading to adjacent buildings and exposures.

No injuries were reported, and the scene was secured after extinguishment and overhaul operations were completed.
