MOTORCYCLIST EXTRICATED FROM UNDER SUV IN SERIOUS I-95 CRASH

Norwalk, CT - The Norwalk Fire Department responded to a serious motor vehicle accident on Interstate 95 southbound between exits 14 and 13 involving a motorcycle and an SUV with reported entrapment.


Upon arrival, crews located the motorcyclist pinned beneath the SUV.


Firefighters deployed rapid-lift equipment and utilized shoring techniques to stabilize and raise the vehicle, successfully extricating the patient.


Patient care was transferred to Norwalk Hospital EMS, with fire personnel assisting during transport to Norwalk Hospital.


Units operating included Rescue 2, Engine 2, Tac 1, command staff, and mutual aid from the Darien Fire Department.


The incident remains under investigation by the Connecticut State Police, and the patient’s condition has not been released.
