BOXFORD, MA — April 15th — A car accident that momentarily blocked Route 97 between King Richard Drive and King George Drive prompted the Boxford Fire Department to respond. Emergency personnel tried to control traffic in the vicinity, secure the situation, and help anyone involved. While activities were ongoing, officials recommended drivers to stay off the road and take other routes.
Drivers and emergency personnel may experience traffic delays and safety issues as a result of roadway events on secondary routes. In order to preserve safe working conditions during collisions and car recovery operations, fire, emergency medical services, and police officers frequently coordinate traffic control and scene management. In the event of a roadway emergency, department officials advised drivers to slow down, remain vigilant in the vicinity of emergency scenes, and heed any detours or instructions from public safety officers.
