FREDONIA, NY — The Fredonia Fire Department’s newest apparatus, Tower 18, was placed into service and wasted no time proving its readiness, responding to its first call shortly after deployment.

Following recent updates to run cards aimed at improving operational efficiency, Tower 18 was dispatched alongside command staff and personnel from the department’s 1st Platoon.

The response included Chief Myers, Assistant Chief Ortolano, Lt. Wright leading six firefighters, and Safety Officer Maytum.

The quick turnaround from placement into service to active response highlights the department’s preparedness and confidence in the new apparatus, ensuring enhanced capabilities for future incidents.
