Third-Due Engine Delivers: Quick Work Keeps Fire in Check

Munhall, PA - Munhall Volunteer Fire Company #4 operated as the third-due engine on a working box alarm, supporting crews already engaged on scene.

Engine 203 executed a split lay, allowing for an efficient water supply while simultaneously stretching a handline to the rear of the structure. Firefighters forced entry and advanced lines to assist with suppression efforts.

Thanks to the quick knockdown by the first-due Engine 171, the fire was rapidly brought under control, allowing command to scale back operations. The coordinated response highlights the importance of each arriving company’s role in achieving a swift and effective outcome.
