Mutual Aid Departments Operate at Westmoreland County Crash

GREENSBURG, Pa. — April 30th — Two-vehicle collision involving injuries occurred on Route 30 westbound between Beatty County Road and the Mountainview intersection. Dryridge VFD members responded with mutual assistance departments. As part of a 13-person response from Unity Township fire companies, firefighters from Dryridge, Marguerite, Pleasant Unity, and Lloydsville worked at the scene.


Five members of Rescue 91 and Squad 91 arrived to help with scene safety, vehicle stabilization, and traffic control. While the other motorist was unharmed, one driver was taken by mutual help EMS for further medical assessment. Prior to its reinstatement to regular traffic, Route 30 westbound was briefly closed during emergency operations.
