BERGEN, NY - On April 30th, the Bergen Fire Department dealt with several incidents.

A rollover car accident on Route 490 marked the start of the day. According to officials, the motorist sustained minor injuries after self-extricating with assistance from onlookers.

Later, a smoke odor inside a home prompted crews to respond as mutual aid to the Brockport Fire District. While firefighters looked into a strong electrical odor, Tanker 29 helped with water supply operations and an interior search.

Tanker 29 was diverted to help the LeRoy Fire Department at a tractor-trailer vs. passenger vehicle collision with entrapment while returning from that incident. Bergen crews assisted by securing the tractor-trailer while LeRoy firefighters worked on vehicle extrication operations.
