Hackensack, NJ - The City of Hackensack Fire Department’s Rescue 1 responded to a reported unconscious individual at the Ice House, where bystanders had already initiated CPR prior to arrival.

Care was then transitioned to incoming BLS and ALS units for continued treatment and transport to the hospital.

The incident highlights the critical importance of early recognition and immediate bystander intervention, as well as the coordinated efforts of trained responders.

Rescue 1 members, alongside assisting agencies and civilians on scene, played a vital role in the successful outcome.
