MAPLE SHADE, NJ - At approximately 10:12 P.M. on May 5, 2026, the Burlington County Fire Alarm Room dispatched the Maple Shade Fire Department and automatic aid companies to 340 S. Maple Ave. for the report of a house on fire. Several calls were received reporting a working fire with possible people trapped. The first arriving units reported fire showing from Division A of a 1.5-story, single-family dwelling. Maple Shade PD reported that all victims were out which was confirmed by the primary search conducted by the firefighters. Companies stretched handlines to knock the fire in the front and made their way to the second floor and attic space to extinguish the fire that extended up. Overhaul was conducted and the fire was placed under control at about the 20 minute mark.
