This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

On April 8, the Mifflintown Hose Co #1 responded to a brush fire on Big Run Road. Crews were alerted about a brush fire close to a wooded area by JCCC.

When Engine 2 arrived, it started the extinguishment process by deploying the bumper line. Tanker 2, Tanker 4, Brush 4, Utility 2, and Ambulance 205-2 were among the other units that staged and helped with overhaul and fire suppression. Workers put out the fire and looked for any hot areas that might still be present.
