Another Brentwood Fire

On Sunday, April 25th at 11:30 PM the Brentwood Fire Department received reports of a structure fire at 28 Winston Drive.Chief Glen Mungo (3-2-32) was first on the scene and transmitted the working fire. Engine 1 made the initial attack via the front door and observed heavy fire and fire thru the roof. The truck company also reported fire in the basement and rear of the dwelling. With conditions worsening Chief Mungo order all members out of the building and ordered a master stream hand line in place. This resulted in a quick knockdown of the fire. Mutual aid companies included Islip, Central Islip and East Brentwood. Arson, Town Fire Marshall, and the Red Cross were also summoned and no injuries were reported.
