Seekonk, MA - A coordinated emergency response was initiated following a reported dump truck fire on Route 195 Eastbound, bringing multiple fire and support units to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews encountered the cab of a tri-wheel dump truck fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters from the assigned companies quickly deployed attack lines and worked aggressively to bring the fire under control, utilizing approximately 1,500 gallons of water to suppress the heavy fire conditions.
During the incident, the intense heat compromised the vehicle’s fuel cell, leading to a leak from a fully loaded 75-gallon diesel tank.
Fire crews maintained suppression coverage while environmental response teams operated on scene to safely transfer the fuel and mitigate potential hazards.
The extended operation required coordinated efforts over several hours, with multiple agencies working together to ensure the fire was extinguished and environmental risks were addressed.
Traffic in the area was significantly impacted, with lane closures in place throughout the incident.
