3 Car Accident in Franklin Results in Door Pop

At 2:32 pm on Tuesday, 5/5/26 the Franklin Fire Department with an American Ambulance was dispatched to 210 Route 32 for a three car accident. Quinebaug Valley Dispatchers obtained additional information that a person was trapped in one of the cars, so Bozrah was added at 2:36.


Engine 126 and Medic 25 arrived at 2:46 and began patient care and stabilization. Engine 126 popped the front passenger’s door to gain access to one of the patients, while Rescue 125 evaluated the driver of the truck. 


Ambulance 526, Medic 25, Lebanon Ambulance 606 and Baltic Ambulance 524 all transported patients to Backus Hospital. Service 226 assisted the Connecticut State Police with traffic control. Car 25 had command and Route 32 was shut down for a short time.
