Two Injured, One Airlifted Following Newton Crash

NEWTON, NJ - Following several reports to the Sussex County Sheriff's 911 Center, Hampton Township Fire & Rescue responded to a car accident involving entrapment near Route 206 and the Walmart entrance, May 3rd. Stillwater Area Vol. Fire Company, Fredon Vol. Fire Company, and Newton Vol. Fire Department provided mutual aid. Hampton units established a landing zone close by while Newton Squad 3 finished the extrication. One patient was taken by land transport, while another was airlifted by Atlantic Air Ambulance. Units ran for almost an hour. The New Jersey State Police were given control of the incident.
