Multi-Agency Response Near Walmart Entrance

Newton, NJ — May 3rd — Following several reports to the Sussex County Sheriff's 911 Center, the Hampton Township Fire & Rescue responded to a car accident involving entrapment near Route 206 and the Walmart entrance. Stillwater Area Volunteer Fire Company, Fredon Volunteer Fire Company, and Newton Volunteer Fire Department provided mutual aid.
Hampton units established a landing zone close by while Newton Squad 3 finished the extrication. One patient was taken by land transport, while another was airlifted by Atlantic Air Ambulance. The units ran for almost an hour. The New Jersey State Police were given control of the incident.
