Kitchen Fire at Local Restaurant Quickly Contained with Mutual Aid Support

Old Saybrook, CT - The Old Saybrook Fire Department responded to a reported fire at Saigon City Restaurant, with assistance from Old Saybrook Police as well as the Fire Marshal, Building, and Health Departments.


Firefighters located a kitchen fire that caused minor damage, with some extension into the second floor. Crews acted promptly to contain the fire and prevent further spread within the structure.


Mutual aid support was provided by the Clinton Fire Department, which responded as the Rapid Intervention Team, while the Essex Fire Department covered the station during the incident.
