Driver Transported After Crashing Into Tree in Newburgh

NEWBURGH, NY - Good Will FD responded to a report of a vehicle into a tree at 29 Stewart Ave. on May 3rd. Town of Newburgh Police and EMS were at the scene. Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to take the driver's side door off to extricate the driver. Town of Newburgh EMS transported the driver to Montefiore-St. Luke's Hospital. Stewart Ave. was closed from State Route 17K to Tarr Road during the incident. Firefighters stood by until the wrecker arrived. New York State Police were also at the scene. The Town of Newburgh Police Dept. is investigating the cause.
