LIMINGTON, ME — April 25th —  In the evening, workers from Limington Fire & EMS, located at 425 Sokokis Ave., responded to a brush fire off Boothby Road. When units arrived, they discovered an active fire burning in a roughly 100 by 75-foot area. To limit the fire and prevent its spread, firefighters used brush lines and hand tools. While tackling hot areas within the burn area, crews worked the perimeter.

No casualties were recorded, and the fire was quickly contained. In dry weather, brush fires are frequent and can spread swiftly due to wind. To guarantee complete extinguishment before firefighters leave the scene, prompt access, well-coordinated hose line work, and comprehensive overhaul are still essential.
