Chichester, NH — April 8th — Rescue 2 was sent by the Chichester Fire Department, located at 22 Main St., Chichester, NH, USA, 03258, to help Canterbury NH Fire & Rescue with a second alarm building fire. To support continuing activities, more staff and equipment were brought in under the mutual aid request.

Rescue 2 crews were tasked with interior support duties upon arrival, including as search, overhaul, and firefighter safety. Increased staffing, operational control, and coverage during prolonged situations are the goals of second alarm assignments. In the fire department, mutual aid is still a normal procedure, particularly in smaller towns. In order to promote safe and efficient incident handling, the Chichester Fire Department continues to collaborate closely with other authorities.
