Quick Response Limits Fire Spread at Burlingame

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Just before 4:00 p.m. on April 25, the Dunn's Corners Fire Department arrived at Burlingame Campground in response to a reported vehicle fire with extension into vegetation.

When units arrived, they discovered a well-involved ride-on leaf blower that was burning into the nearby foliage. The fire was swiftly put out by the first-due engine, and workers stayed on the site to moisten the surrounding area to prevent a reignite.

Engine 4, Engine 5, Tanker 1, Car 1, and the Charlestown Police Department were among the responding units. To guarantee complete extinguishment, brush circumstances needed to be carefully overhauled.
