Londonderry NH-April 24. On Wednesday evening around 7 pm 911calls came into the Londonderry Fire Alarm Office reporting a serious car accident with entrapment on 93 Southbound at Mile Marker16. Engine 3, Rescue 1, Medic 1 and Battalion 4 were dispatched as additional calls reporting the vehicle was possibly on fire. Engine 2 and Battalion 2 were added to the call. Companies arrived to find a single vehicle accident that had left the highway and entered the woods with severe damage and an occupant significantly entrapped. An additional Rescue Company from Manchester fire and a Derry Medic unit was dispatched along with a Boston Med-Flight helicopter. The interstate was shut down for Boston Med-flight to land as firefighters worked 39 minutes to extricate the victem. The patient was air lifted to a Level 1 trauma facility with life threatening injuries.
