Hanover Crews Knock Down Kitchen Fire

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

On April 21, the Hanover Fire Department responded to a fire alarm activation that, upon arrival, was escalated to a working incident.

First-arriving units requested a first alarm for more resources after reporting a kitchen fire with a smoke situation in the structure. In order to reduce damage to the nearby region, crews swiftly put out the fire by stretching a handline.

To make sure the fire was completely put out, firefighters performed ventilation and looked for extensions. Kitchen fires continue to be a frequent source of structural fires, necessitating quick action to stop them from spreading.
