Ashburnham Units Respond to Gardner Second Alarm Fire

Ashburnham, MA — March 27th — In response to a second alarm structure fire, the Ashburnham Fire Department, located at 99 Central Street, sent Ladder 1, Car 2, and Car 1 to help the City of Gardner. After arriving, workers assisted with continuing ventilation and suppression operations while integrating into the incident command system. In order to handle prolonged fireground activities and maintain sufficient coverage, second alarm reactions usually involve the addition of manpower and equipment.
