Littleton, NH - Littleton Fire Rescue responded to a reported smoke condition in the area of Mount Eustis Road and the Industrial Park, quickly locating the source as a burning demolition dumpster at the Littleton Transfer Station.

Command was established, and a general alarm was requested as crews stretched a handline and began fire attack through the compactor fire port. Additional personnel, including off-duty and call members, responded to assist.

With help from transfer station staff using a loader to remove the dumpster, firefighters gained better access and worked through the labor-intensive process of pulling apart and extinguishing burning debris.
