NORWALK, CT - On April 26th, Norwalk Fire responded to a reported boat fire at 144 Water Street, “Rex Marina”. The fire was at the dock with two boats fully involved.

Firefighters fought the fire from the dock while the fire boat responded. The fire was difficult at first to extinguish because one of the boats was fully electric. Both boats were removed from the water to prevent any sinking.

The fire originated from the electric boat, causing both boats to be a total loss. One other boat sustained minor damage. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. There were no reported injuries.
