This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

ANTWERP, NY — March 23rd — On Route 11, the Antwerp Vol. Fire Department was called to a two-vehicle collision that resulted in casualties. A concerted multi-agency reaction was prompted by early reports of several patients. Firefighters helped EMS with patient access and care, secured the area, and managed risks. Philadelphia Fire, Theresa Fire, Indian River Ambulance, Evans Mills Ambulance, and Gouverneur Ambulance all offered mutual aid. For patient transportation, LifeNet 7-10 was also asked.

Operations prioritized patient stabilization, roadside traffic control, and scene safety. Because of traffic movement and access, incidents on Route 11 frequently call for coordinated efforts. Before returning to service, units stayed on the scene until all patients had been transferred and the road had been cleaned.
