YAPHANK, NY - On April 19th, the Yaphank Fire Department was activated for a reported house fire. On arrival of 5-30-31, he had heavy smoke showing from the rear, started his 360 and found a deck fire. 5-30-30 arrived and made the decision to reactivate the working fire. 5-30-7 arrived on scene, grabbed a hydrant and stretched lines. 5-30-10 arrived, started searches and checked for extension into the house. Once all fire was knocked down, the scene was placed under control.
