Newport City, VT - The City of Newport Fire Department responded to a brush fire on Spencer Hill in Coventry, where flames were spreading into wooded terrain and posing a threat to a nearby structure.

Fire crews deployed multiple apparatus, including Fire 1, Engine 2, Engine 3, Rescue 5, and Brush 23 with a UTV, to contain the advancing fire.

Through a coordinated effort, firefighters were able to bring the situation under control and protect the threatened building before clearing the scene.
