Jericho, NY — April 6th — Following many calls, the Jericho Fire Department, located at 411 North Broadway, responded to a structure fire at 27 Maytime Drive. Departments from the 5th and 9th Battalions provided mutual aid when the situation deteriorated to three alarms. To confine the fire, personnel under Assistant Chief Richardson's direction stretched four handlines and worked throughout the building. To find and put out a hidden fire, a thorough overhaul was carried out.
The American Red Cross, the Nassau County Fire Marshal's Office, the NCPD Emergency Ambulance Bureau, and the Nassau County Police Department all provided assistance. Before going back into service, units were in operation for a long time.
