Islip Crews Knock Down Fire at Main Street Business

ISLIP, NY - At around 5:19 p.m. on March 29th, the Islip Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at Milano Crepes, 488 Main Street. On arrival, firefighters found smoke coming from the building's roof. Crews identified an electrical fire burning in the overhang as the source after size-up. Firefighters cleared the area, quickly put out the fire and contained it to the immediate area. There were no reported injuries. Chief of Department Macchio oversaw the operations.
