COLRAIN, MA — Colrain Firefighters’ Association units responded on mutual aid to assist with a third-alarm brush fire in Greenfield, operating in multiple locations along Wisdom Way and nearby railroad tracks.

Brush 4, Utility 7, and the department’s Polaris Ranger supported suppression efforts alongside several assisting agencies as crews worked to contain the fast-moving fire.

All Colrain units have since cleared the incident and are back in service. Residents are urged to remain alert and avoid the affected areas as conditions can still pose hazards.
