Over the Easter weekend, as travel in the area increased, the Cutchogue Fire Department responded to three car incidents.

Crews responded to two incidents in an hour on Friday. The first happened at 4:07 p.m. near Route 48 and Bridge Lane, where a car crossing the road collided with another, resulting in a rollover that landed on a fire hydrant. One patient with minor injuries was sent to the hospital.

Firefighters were called to a second motorcycle crash at Route 48 and Alvah's Lane at 5:27 p.m. While responders stayed on the site to regulate traffic and mitigate hazards, the operator was treated and transferred with minor injuries. On Saturday at approximately 6:00 p.m., firefighters responded to a single-vehicle crash in front of Touch of Venice Restaurant. The vehicle struck a parked car and a tree. The occupant was not injured.
