HILLSIDE, NJ - The Hillside Fire Department FMBA responded to a reported vehicle fire in the eastbound express lanes of Route 78 on April 4th, where crews arrived to find a fully involved car fire. Due to the highway location, units from the Union Fire Department arrived simultaneously, and both departments worked side by side to bring the fire under control. Firefighters quickly deployed hose lines and coordinated suppression efforts, containing the blaze.
